Family Rule: Blisses are Brave

Brave. Or crazy, depending on how you look at it. We are officially joining the Foreign Service. It's a very, very, very surreal thing. 

Adam first applied for this job back in April of 2014 so to have it finally come to fruition 20 months later has been strange. I keep saying to Adam 'We're really doing this!?!' For so long it has just been out there on the horizon as a possibility. I grew and birthed a tiny human in that time, for heavens sake! 

The step we are currently engaged in is the four of us schlepping out to Virginia by January 25th so that Adam can start training. I say that like we're doing the lion's share when really we aren't. The government is going to move us. And fly 3/4 of us out there. And house us. It's a pretty cushy way to start a worldwide adventure, for sure! And I'm counting my blessings: I can't imagine trying to get ready for a cross country move while also trying to orchestrate and enjoy Christmas. That would be challenging. I'll take all the list making I have to do instead (we all know how much I love to make lists) and count my lucky stars that I may not have to lift a single box during this entire move! 

It WORKED!!!!

And now I will go to bed. I am sure I will regret this in the morning...

Lala's Rules: Learn New Things!

It's 11:42 and I should really be in bed but I started learning HTML and I can't stop! It's addictive stuff and I wanted to practice on my blog. Consider this testing!

Blog Rule # 1: Don't give up

I've been re-reading old blog posts today and they are so fun to be able to look back on! To this end I'm going to try and start blogging again - I had another baby and I thought I might start documenting her earlier than the last? Is that unfair to Jo? Possibly. Or I've just learned my lesson. Either way I want to have more stories to look back on. 

So, viva la blog! I won't be deterred by a year absence - I'm back. And you know I'll be adding backdated posts too. It's how I roll.

So here's a picture from today. This is my adorable second baby refusing to nap. This is what she did pretty much all day.  I think she just wants all the cuddles the world can afford her. Or it's the dairy I ate.... Poor girl.
